Unity's 4” thick XL-Series is designed to meet and exceed all of your project needs for use on really tall playground structures, rock-walls, recreational areas, diving boards, etc., where a ten (10’) foot fall protection rating is needed. Contributing to design, their interlocking system can provide a monolithic “step & repeat” method of installation that allows anyone to stagger the products' interlocking joints anywhere, as if you were installing “brickwork”, commonly known as a “staggered bond” or “running bond” method of installation. This technological development is a backup to resist product-to-product separation, curling, peeling, and most importantly, wind-up lift.

They are also water permeable, allowing for “free flow drainage” to a drainage outlet. Ideal for stormwater management issues, like rooftops, where ballast protection for wind-up-lift is an important design consideration.
