SOTAR is a family run, custom whitewater inflatable boat manufacturer based in Merlin, Oregon in the USA. Every boat is built by hand and made one at a time. Started in 1980 and SOTAR is still flourishing 40 years later.
SOTAR’s specialty is giving white water sports lovers a boat that is custom designed to personal specifications. Color options are not the only options available. You can change design specs to fit the rivers you run and the specialized use of a raft, cataraft, or inflatable kayak.
The SOTAR Liquid (SL) Inflatable Kayak is a beautiful Fusion of performance and durability. A look at the SL kayak's sleek lines gives you a glimpse of the version you will appreciate. With SOTAR's exclusive Liquid Technology, you get exceptional tracking and speed with instant response to the slightest paddle stroke. We make your kayak with our proprietary Lextron 40oz fabric, and you get one rigid inflatable kayak.
The SL kayak has a unique Lexatron fixed floor that gives the river a smooth surface with no side channels to grab the water. The inflatable floor is held in a separate compartment and covered on top to provide protection.
To keep you in contact with your SL kayak, Team SOTAR has installed the best-fitting cockpit in the industry. We installed extruded aluminum foot braces, ergonomically shaped thigh straps, and a durable inflatable seat that all adjust to give you the perfect fit.
Features
The SL Kayak has two main air chambers in the tubes, one on the floor and one in the seat, for four air chambers. All SOTAR Inflatables are designed and manufactured one at a time. No other Inflatables are made with such personal care and attention.
The SL comes standard with a carry loop in the bow and stern with an additional grommet in each end cone. To help secure all your cargo, Team SOTAR has added 6 cargo D-rings, four in the stern and two in the bow.
