Big brother to the Baboosic, the 16’ Prospector has lots of rocker, which means this canoe can turn on a dime in spite of its length, and the deep hull means it can be loaded extremely heavily and the tracking only improves as the canoe is more heavily laden.Â
Weighing under 60 pounds, the Prospector is straightforward to load and unload for one or two people. Strong, impact-resistant Kevlar and Carbon Fiber are placed together under a striking gel coat to create a perfect blend of weight, rigidity, and durability and then finished off with stunning Cherry ribs to add an additional helping of both beauty and strength. Hardwood ash and cherry appointments from the gunnels to the yoke round out the canoe, lending it a timeless look that will hold up for years to come.Â
