The RF Foils have a unique shape that makes racing and cruising accessible in all conditions.

The RF 91 is a dedicated foil race platform, the RF 81 performs well in both race and slalom competitions, while the RF 71 is designed for peak slalom speed.

The RF range has gone through big improvements in terms of take-off performance in light wind. The mast track has been moved farther back to allow the board to pop out of the water much sooner. The deck has been improved by allowing the back foot to be lower than the front foot to allow more control and power when jibing on the foil. Board Vol distribution has been changed and now the maximum Vol is located in front of the mast base which allows the foil to be positioned in the perfect spot for early take-off.

The new RF board is performing better than ever with significant improvements in control and comfort. Sailors looking for more control at high speed or power on upwind legs while foiling will favor this board!

    RF81 Race / FreeRace board

The Exocet RF81 (210x81x168L) is a bigger version of the RF71 (198x71x142L). It’s a high performance Race / FreeRace board intended to be used with stiff race foils (such as F4) and sails in the range 5.0-9.0.

The RF81 is well suited for both Slalom (reaching) and Course Racing (upwind/downwind), and as such is highly versatile.

When Exocet designed the RF (V2 series) in 2020, the designs were well ahead of their times, featuring new concepts in volume distribution and board aerodynamics, both essential to high speed WindFoiling. All RF’s are extremely stable in flight as a result.

These boards continue to be very successful at 2023 competitions such as Defi Wind and Prince of Speed.

The slightly bigger RF85 would be better suited than the RF81 (greater volume) if targeted conditions are consistently light (7.0-9.0 sails).

The smaller RF71 is aimed at stronger wind conditions (4.0-6.0 sails) and is well suited for slalom/speed (30kts+), although it performs very well at upwind/downwind angles too.

    Carbon versions recommended.

    RF71 Race / FreeRace board

The Exocet RF series are exceptionally well designed boards for high performance windfoiling. They are best combined with stiff carbon race foils (such as F4) and race / freerace sails with cambers.

The volume distribution promotes very efficient take-offs on small slalom/speed wings (400cm2) and great recoveries from touchdowns at moderate to high speeds. Slalom laps in the 28-31kt speed range are achievable on this board. French rider Florian Madec achieved on an official course 33.5kts on a nautical mile, 35kts on 500m and a 38kts Vmax on the RF71!

One of the great qualities of the RF71/81/85/91 are their aerodynamic stability.

The RF71 is well suited for sail sizes 3.9-6.0.

    Carbon version recommended.
