The Black Flag was designed with speed, power, and flow in mind. Any and all levels of surfers will have fun pushing their own personal limits on this board.
Soft, forgiving forward rails and an edgy tail rail, along with the fuller nose, allows for smooth transitions in and out of snaps. Full Innegra/carbon fiber bottom and Technora carbon fiber tail provide solid construction. Super strong web-fused carbon fiber combines with a natural wood stringer for reinforcement, providing durability for radical riding. The versatile 5-fin option allows you to ride the Black Flag as a single fin, a twin, thruster, or quad. With beautiful lines and devilish styling, this board makes a statement.
SOFT BAT TAIL
The bat tail design provides more surface area from rail to rail, allowing for planing speed and lift. The soft outline allows for smooth carves but still pops well for airs.
BLENDED RAIL
A blended rail is a variation between between a full and hard rail. This type of rail is a good universal option that is stable and user friendly but still allows for performance maneuvers.
FIN SETUP
The five fin setup offers options for every rider on the boat. You can set the board up as a twin fin, thruster or quad. Twin fin will be loose and playful. The thruster (3 fin) setup will generate good speed with more stability than the twin fin. A quad (4 fin) setup is all about speed, allowing you to pump and generate speed using the fins. We do not recommend using all five fins at the same time as it will produce too much drag.
CUSTOM JETPILOT HONEYCOMB FIGERGLASS FINS
Honeycomb figerglass is strong and light, reducing weight while maintaining flex. The Black Flag includes 2 outside 4.3" fins, 2 inside 3.7", and a 4.3" center fin. Make sure you look at the foil on each fin when you insert them in the fin box. The inside of the fin should be flat.
3 PIECE EMBOSSED GRIP TAIL TRACTION PAD
The EVA tail pad has a 4mm center arch that provides excellent grip and comfort. The 3cm vert wedge tail kick keeps the back foot from slipping off the board.
2 PIECE EVA FRONT TRACTION PAD
The front traction pad is included with the board but not applied. Some surfer's prefer using wax on the deck for optimal movement and traction so we are giving you the option. Applying the traction is simple but if you have questions please call customer service.
SINGLE CONCAVE TO FLAT TO DOUBLE CONCAVE TO VEE
The single concave provides lift and control through the front of the board. The double concave around the fins will redirect the flow of water through the tail and around the fins. This also helps create lift and control when surfing off your back foot. Blending into a Vee through the tail adds control and allows for clean snaps from rail to rail.
AMPLE ENTRY AND VERY STRAIGHT TAIL ROCKER.
The rocker profile provides tons of lift and speed (the speed is controlled in turns by the tail outline shape).
Important Wake Surfboard Information Each wake surfboard is handmade. We shape every core, wrap it in fiberglass, and use resin for lightweight strength. We inspect every board before it is shipped. This lightweight, high-performance product is built just like the best surfboards and DOES NOT have a warranty. If you damage or ding your board, it can be repaired just like a surfboard by using a standard surfboard repair kit with Polyester resin.
